At Old Brentwoods Rugby Club (OBRFC), we’re proud to be led by our president, Rob Jupp, who was elected in July 2022. Rob’s tireless effort, great leadership, and passion for the sport have transformed OBRFC into one of the fastest-growing and most progressive rugby clubs in the UK.

Rob’s journey with the club began in 2011 when his eldest son joined the fledgling ‘Acorns’ at just 6 years old. Since then, both of Rob’s sons have played across multiple age groups, with his eldest, James, going on to represent the club’s 1st XV team. It’s this deep personal connection that has fueled Rob’s dedication to the club and its members.

In his professional life, Rob serves as the Group CEO of The Brightstar Financial Group and is also a trustee of the Niall Stringer Foundation. His mantra, “always aim for the stars,” resonates in everything he does. This positive mindset has been a driving force behind the club’s transformation and growth.

As President, Rob has not only provided leadership but also created a strong Executive Committee, comprised of members with specialist skills that have allowed the club to grow steadily. Under his guidance, OBRFC has become a beacon for community, development, and excellence in rugby. His vision for the club has helped foster a supportive and inclusive environment, where both players and volunteers are encouraged to contribute.

Rob is ever-present at both home and away matches, always approachable and ready to support the teams. His hands-on approach and passion for OBRFC make him a beloved figure across the club.
